For this month's column in the Barrhead News I discussed the state of education in Scotland, especially in regards to ASN education.

Our education system is failing our children, especially those who need it's help the most. Teachers desperately need more help from the Scottish Government in Edinburgh. We are in the midst of an education crisis and the SNP are failing to act - teacher numbers are dropping but a record 43% of children now have some form of additional support need - up from 5% in 2007.

As a parent, education is a priority to me, and I'm confident that this is something that is shared by many parents across the constituency.
